With partners, took control of small struggling truck trailer leasing business in Mexico; developed and implemented turn-around plan; entered into exclusive distribution agreement with Hyundai; took company public; managed company to sustained sales growth in excess of 100% compounded annually; and currently putting in place building blocks to insure long-term growth.

Developed strategic plan; assembled management team; completed restructuring and turn around of small private company; secured $5 million in financing; identified and evaluated several hundred potential acquisition candidates; negotiated and closed 17 acquisitions; grew revenues from $800,000 to $15,000,000 per year; and took company public. Merged company out.

1983 - 1989 Sandstone Capital Corporation (Denver, Colorado) - management consulting and investments

President/CEO and Chairman of the Board

Evaluated several hundred business plans; assisted in start-up financing of 20 companies in a broad range of industries, including paper conversion, metal fabrication, telecommunications, software, medical services, child care services and others; secured financing in excess of $10 million and made direct investments of $3 million. Dissolved company.

1979 - 1983 Hart Exploration and Production Company ( Denver , Colorado ) - independent oil and gas exploration and production company

President and CEO

Developed and implemented business plan; secured $10 million equity and $150 million debt financing; arranged several major joint venture projects with large corporate and institutional partners; completed several acquisitions; and took company. Company acquired.

1968 - 1979 Cities Service Oil Company (CITGO Petroleum) (Midland, Texas) and Canada-Cities Service, Ltd. (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) - major integrated oil company

Geological Engineer, Project Manager and Exploration Manager

Initially performed technical functions; directly responsible for discovery of important oil and gas reserves in New Mexico, Texas and Alberta, Canada (total NPV over $1 billion); managed numerous exploration projects in U.S. and Canada; mapped areas of the Canadian Arctic; developed college recruiting program for Canadian operation; selected for management fast track; held various technical management positions.
